It's not easy being green

Despite me really enjoying (no, really) getting the bus to the station in the morning during Lent, I have returned to my faithful car since Easter. Why? Well, my bus pass expired and they've put the flipping prices up.

Forgive me for having a rant, but why are the Government encouraging us to 'go green' but continuing to make it more and more expensive? I want to get the bus, I really do. It reminds me that I'm part of a community and gives the added bonus of not polluting. But driving is simply much cheaper (and I don't have to panic about missing the bus!).

PS Where has the lovely sunny weather gone?

Love the irony of a post about going back to your car ending with a question about where the warm weather has gone...

Hi, I've only found your blog after its first purpose is over! I'm going to read back through them all - when I get time after waiting for an erratic hourly bus service - only joking. I use my car for work, the 8 miles I travel takes about 55mins by bus, with 20 mins of walking - the earliest I can get to work is 9:20 and I would have to leave before 3pm! (I only work in the next town. At least you're still using the train.
Why don't you write your bus company, local authority and MP about the bus, and refer them to your blog at the same time?

Well done
Angela

Hi Angela,

I just noticed your comment. Good idea - thanks.

I spend so much time moaning about things and much less actually doing anything about them!!
